Pulled out squash plant by accident! Help.....

I am growing a couple different varieties of squash plants and have them growing up the stalks of sunflowers.
Today, I was trying to thin the squash out as I had planted them really close together and some plants were not taking off, however, I pulled out a root of a squash plant that is already bearing 3 good sized squash ( I think it is spaghetti squash).
I put the root back in immediately and watered it and patted down....do you think it will survive?
