Breber said "It has been a pet peave of mine (even before Covid), but more so since Covid, when the restaurant/server places the pre packaged condiments on your food/plate. At breakfast for instance, jam, peanut butter, s&p or any of the add-ons get put on the edge of your plate (usually on your eggs, bacon, etc.) Smitty's (at the mall) for sure, does this. What if that pre-packaged item had been dropped on the floor or do we need someone (like the cook) handling it, then placing it on your plate of food. I know I could dine elsewhere, but in the theme of precautionary measures during Covid, how is this OK? I have never figured it was OK. Not every restaurant does it (not even sure how many), but it occurs. I figure, put my condiments in a little bowl on-the-side. "
you considered asking them to put your condiments on the side or would that leave you too content to properly enjoy your breakfast?
