Good day people! What is your experience with air fryers? What all can you cook in your appliance? Are they worth the cash you paid? What brand? Differences between cooking in air fryer and regular oven?

I love mine, I wish I had gone with a different brand, but it was all my store had. Only reason i would want a different brand, the drawer that the food sits in has slits in hte back (I assume for air flow) but makes it hard to dish out some foods without spilling hot oil. I just have to watch hoe far I tip it. Also mine is really loud.  
 
I feel the difference is because it is smaller it heats up faster and cooks the food faster. Minimal oil and still can get a nice crispy fry, and nice crispy chicken wings.

We have an Instant pot brand one. Use it often. Basically anything that you put in a conventional oven you can use in the airfryer. Primarily I use mine for chicken wings, french fries and bacon (so good cooked in there). I dont add any oil in mine and it still makes things crispy . But i've used it for lots. pork or beef roasts. Roasted veggies. Quick to heat up and does not use near as much power as an oven.

Love it! Have had it since February and use it almost daily. I have a friend with a top of the line Ninja air fryer and they love theirs too. Chefman is a middle of the road as far as price goes. Works great!

Bought a TFAL one.. been good for us.. But we really only make french fries (not shoestring), makes curly fries really good as well as smiley fries.

We make our chicken wings in it always. Best thing ever! gets wings nice and crispy depending on the reciepe

Have had a Tfal actifry for about 4 years. We use it lots and my nutritionist said that they are great in improving your diet.  
Regularly make fries and wedges from our own potatoes, cook sausages and bacon, wings, onion rings etc. As a plus it is made in France so likely a little higher quality than some made elsewhere.  
The paddle fell to pieces recently but a replacement paddle is available and being shipped to us right now.

We have a ninja 5-in-1 air fryer. It is awesome. we use it for fries whenever we have them, and also for tuna/salmon steaks. Then in the winter I choose to use it for burgers/steaks rather than go outside and bbq.  
It heats up really fast, probably 5 min, which is faster than my oven. And the fries (since I’m on the topic) cook in about 12 mins vs 20 in the oven, and they are crispier and much better.  
We keep experimenting with different foods and it is always impressing.

I have the pampered chef one, only because my niece was selling them and I wanted to help her out.  
 
We have cooked so many things in it. Meatloaf, wings, kobassa, bologna, chicken fingers, french fries, perogies, hot dogs, smokies, baked potatoes, asparagus, you name it, perfect every time.  
 
Fast, easy clean up as everything fits in the dishwasher, hardly any oil, and much healthier. Only complaint, I wish it was bigger.

We went with the Kalorik, based on the high temp of the unit, size, and reviews. It's sort of mid to higher end of the price range, but we find it's well made, is whisper quiet, and does a fine job on everything we've put in it so far.

I recently bought a Corsica so am still learning but I like it so far.
