OPA! Greek restaurant opening!

Its offical OPA! Greek restaurant has just announced opening up a location at 1229 Richmond Ave!

This is just one of many new restaurants coming to Brandon.

I don't think that BlueHills is going anywhere . It is more likely the new place is going in the Sutton Realty building.

Blue Hills still servicing cranberry chicken sandwich cravings as well as ever.

Opa's going in the spot in that mall that FPC was in. Hoping for early-mid February right now.

Sounds like they’ve soft opened, with more formal grand opening next Thursday. We were lucky to be able to go to Greece last Month and looking forward to seeing how it stacks up (no pressure )

Pita wraps are excellent,the Greek style of wrapping it in thicker soft pita bread versus stuffing it is quite nice. Almost like a different food from the kind of pita thats served at more traditional pita restaurants here (which are good in their own right of course). Choices of salads as a side are refreshing for this kind of restaurant (fries of course an option too). The only thing I noticed that they do in Greece is throw a few fries inside pitas, but I’m sure I can make that work pretty quickly with a side order of fries

Just wondering if anyone has tried the new Opa! of Greece Restaurant at 1229 Richmond Ave since their Grand Opening last week (Thursday, July 21?

I wasn't sure if they had their Grand Opening on the 21st, but looks like it's been open and fully running for a couple of weeks or so.

I see the comments above, but wondered if anyone can share some good dishes they've recently had. Have enjoyed the souvlaki platter and calamari a few times at Polo Park Winnipeg, so looking forward to a good meal here.

I'm aware it's not meant to be a fine dining place, but similar concept to a Subway type place, but look forward to trying some of the menu items for take out, so I can enjoy in the comfort of home.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
