So Brandon will be getting a new A&W location in the west end, by West end Sobeys. No idea when construction is to start. This is one of the many businesses that slated to open up in this location. check out the PDF file on the wesbite.

A new A&W in the West end is welcomed by me . Never hurts to have a burger joint close by. Wonder what else is coming to that location?

I'm excited to see what is going to be there.

FYI Dollarama corporate spokesperson says that there is no information regarding new store openings in Brandon at this time.  
 
One to watch though, I do personally think that would be an excellent spot for one.

Spoke to a couple of people in Sobeys this afternoon they knew nothing about any A&W coming. I’m hoping these statements are coming from credible sources.

There is a link at the beginning of this thread that takes you to the conceptual plans by a credible source.  
Sobeys doesn’t own the property, so why would it matter if their staff know about it or not? Many things may be in the works without them knowing.  
Most people/businesses around them wouldn’t know until construction work begins or it is formally announced, but doesn’t mean this source isn’t credible.
