Small quantity foods: Makes you wonder.

Ok so I have something for everyone to ponder about and post your thoughts.
Lately I have noticed that certain foods in the small quantity packages always have more flavor and taste better then their larger counterparts. For instance, when I go to the convenience store to purchase a small bag of potato chips, they cost around 1.00$ but when I am eating them they are SOOOOO tasty and full of flavoring. So naturally I want a Bigger bag that obviously costs more. So I buy a bigger bag, BUT the chips have noticeably less Flavoring and don't taste anything like the smaller bag.
I have also recently noticed this with peanut butter as well. I go to a restaurant for breakfast and order some toast. I take those little peanut butter packages and spread it on my toast. Well MAN IS IT GOOD PEANUT BUTTER. I think to myself I am gonna buy me a big jar of that. And viola it does not seem to be as flavorful as the little sample packs you get in restaurants.
So logically I start thinking maybe this is a marketing trick, maybe companies put out these little "sampler" packages that are full of flavor and taste AMAZING in an effort to get you to buy the bigger more expensive packages.
And the bigger packages are more profitable to the company because they use less flavoring then the small "teaser" packages.
Ok Ebrandon. I am just crazy or have other people experienced something similar. Post your thoughts on this and.......BE NICE
