Nadine and others who make wine.  
 
Can you lead me through the process of making your own wine?  
 
Please make it totally idiot proof and give me somewhat of a cost for the most basic of operations.  
 
I know you buy the kit. (Approx. price? and any suggestions for a simple white and red?  
What is the yield?  
I know you need bottles (buy them? how much for how many? how many bottles would you need to start one batch?)  
 
Anything else you need to buy like corks and carboys, and meta bi-sulphate?  
 
How long does it take to actually make?  
One long evening?  
How long does it take to ferment?  
What needs to be done to check it in terms of time and equipment?  
 
I am so sorry for knowing nothing. I trust the guys at the wine-making stores, but it would be a good idea to get a handle on the basics and the equipment needed to get started before I decide to make it.  
 
Is it easy to do?
