    East Side Mario's Restaurant coming soon?

    On the East Side Mario's website today and saw that it showed coming to Brandon soon! Super excited for this! It'll be the first one in Manitoba!  
    Anyone have any info as to where it'll be located or when?

    Omg I gotta check the site! I'm guessing they could use : old Safeway, target or old zellers. Or else the small plot of land on the movie theatres lot. Or the lot south of that out of town a bit.

    None in Winnipeg. There's one in Regina. Type in Brandon under locations and it says "Coming soon"

    It will be a good addition to the restaurants in Brandon.  
     
    Back in the 90's there was an East Side Mario's,  
    it was downtown on Smith Street.

    Looks like their gonna open in town Centre??? If you zoom into the map, it shows Rosser and 9th..

    Whenever I've zoomed in on Brandon it shows that "middle of town" location.

    Enjoyed our experience at the Regina one.  
     
    For fun and because its what I do, a little location fodder....  
    Feel free to chime in if you are more informed on another of these or other options.  
     
    - FWIW, the restaurant pad site in front of the theatre still says "for lease."  
     
    - Another option is WestVic Commons. The plan (link below) has four pad sites that are said to be suitable for restaurant use among other things:

    - Corral Centre brochure on the Shindico site also notes a couple of areas that could still be for development. Getting a little out of my depth as far as what would fit into what space, but another possibility to consider?

    - Of course could have gone through similar speculation for Brown's Socialhouse, only to see mountains moved to get them into a prime already-developed area. Havent heard a lot re Original Joes lately but believe something similar was in progress for them.  

    Who knows what comes to pass or on what timeline though.... Devil's advocate would point out that Mr Mike's Steakhouse has listed a Brandon franchise sold for quite some time (originally noted in a thread more than a year ago) and I don't think there's been a lot said since then?

    I hope for their own sake they don't choose a downtown location. Their business will suffer for sure if that's where they choose to go.

    They won't put it downtown. Maps are just automatically set to show a city's down town or centre of a city.

    Not super stoked that another chain restaurant is coming to Brandon but I did take a peek at the menu online and it did have some dishes that looked pretty good. Might be worth a look once all the hype and craziness settles after it is opened.

    I have eaten there in Ontario. IMO it's very good. They give you unlimited bread sticks. But the food is quite good. Now that Applebees has only 1 pasta dish. I am sure this chain will do quite well here whenever it gets here. Since it offers more pasta.

    It's a bit of an Olive Garden type thing but more fun and family friendly. Salad is so good. If this is true I can't wait!!

    I would like to know if you have a prospective date for opening and also, where you plan on putting the location. I noticed on your website you have 903 Rosser Ave, but I would like to confirm if this is actually the place or if it a random address generated.

    it's not going to be built there, there is already plans that the western will be original joes.  
     
    east side would be either by the theatre or leons parkpad.  
     
    Hopefully not the corral centre as the place is already crowded most days.

    Just wanted to give you the facts, East Side Marios was approached by Brandon business people but their proposed location was turned down. East Side already has location contract in place but has not sold the rights yet. This restaurant is about 1.5 million to construct so may be waiting a while till you see it opened.

    You'd posted in another thread this info re East Side Marios:

    I see that the ESM website does still show Brandon as [i]"coming soon." [/i]  
    Wondering if you can elaborate on source, if not in the thread then in private through a Contact form submit through the link at the bottom of the page? If anyone that might be directly involved in whats claimed here please feel free to do the same... I like to confirm facts for folks when I can, even if I'm not in a position to directly name source.

    There's already a restaurant in the old fire hall downtown called Prairie Firehouse. They've been there for a while now. Really good place.

    As of February the Western Motel has went back up for sale and from what I have heard the deal with Original Joes is not going to happen at that location.

    The old fire hall downtown already has a restaurant in it called Prairie Firehouse and its been open for a while now and I cant see Remington's going out of business or moving from their current location.

    The Western Motel is back up for sale and according to the cities website the variance for the property to build a restaurant was approved by the city on may 6th, 2015. But now for some reason the motel is now back up for sale as of February and this time all three building are for sale. I don't know if that means the whole deal fell through or what.

    Via press release the Shoppers Mall has confirmed that a combination East Side Marios and Fionn MacCools will be built on a freestanding pad at the 18th street entrance... Pending site plan approval.
