    old farm equipment part - what is it?

    At least we think it is! Found in our old barn on a farm that was active from the 30's until recent years, and located by Lake Audy district of Riding Mountain National Park. Does anyone know what this is? It's about 8 inches across and my guess is from an old pickup on a pull type combine or hay rake or something of that nature. Thoughts anyone?

    It is possibly from a hay rake. What is the name on the one spoke?

    Some sort of very small combine/swather paddle drive sprocket perhaps as others have said.  
     
    My second thought is a rope twister ?  
     
    Probably not a rope twister, just googled them and they all use hooks

    This is one of several same shaped pieces that were used on some 21a Massey Harris combines 1949 and later.  
    they made up part of the pick-up. 1 inch diameter pipes fitted in the circular parts and attached to the pipes were  
    pick-up teeth.
