he could be referring to the hanger bearing. That old of a vehicle you prob ably will need the bearing and the holder. May be sold as a unit. Ask your parts guy, as he will be able to advise you. Not a large job, but most shops will be able to give you a good idea. Provided the bearing comes off the shaft easily, it is not a job that would take more than an hour.
