Oilfield Crew Truck Labourer
Description
Canadian Plains Energy Services is looking to hire a motivated Oilfield Crew Truck Labourer to assist skilled trade persons and perform labour activities at our various construction and project sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with general maintenance and construction jobs within the Virden area
- Willing to learn and follow directions
- Work within a safe environment & follow our company's safety program
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices
- Lifting & rigging
- Fuel equipment when needed
- Clean construction work areas
- Use of various tools
- Assist pipefitters and welders with their work
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
- Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards & measures to eliminate or minimize them
- Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the immediate supervisor
- Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE (may include, but not limited to the following)
- Local candidates are preferred
- H2S Alive and Standard First Aid
- Confined Space
- Fall Arrest
- Power Mobile Equipment
- Valid driver?s license and a clean driving record
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Previous maintenance experience an asset
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Capable of working with small tools
- Capable of working as part of a team
- Fluent in speaking and reading English
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be able to get to the designated job site
