What you?ll do: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor is responsible for providing support to the organization on a broad variety of HR activities. The scope of activities may include talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, labour/employee relations, total rewards, and the support of benefits and employee information.
This position will engage all Team Leaders on a regular basis to determine Team Member complement, advise on HR issues and act as a liaison between Team Leaders and the HR Business Unit.

Key Job Responsibilities include:
? Collaborate with internal customers (fellow Team Members) and maintain a respectful work environment.
? Supporting the Talent Acquisition process within Heritage Co-op, including developing Team Leaders and posting vacancies, conducting pre-screens, assisting with interviews, representing the Co-op at Career Fairs, pre- and post-employment due diligence, participating in the selection process, and administering offer letters.
? Provide coaching and support for Team Leaders on Talent Management practices, including assisting in components of the Onboarding process.
? Provide coaching and assistance with the disciplinary process; formulate disciplinary communication, advise on disciplinary meetings and involvement in disciplinary meetings as required.
? Supporting succession planning across the organization.
? Assisting with the development and distribution of the Team Member Newsletter and Team Member social media content
? Compile, verify and prepare reports and statistics for HR, Team Leaders, and the organization
?Who you are:
? Post-secondary Diploma or Degree ? related field preferred (Business or Human Resources) or equivalent relevant work experience
? 5+ years of relevant experience
? Strong computer and technical background, including effective working skills of the Microsoft suite and Outlook
? Ability to work independently or as part of a Team
? Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
? Proven effective communication skills; both verbal and written
? CPHR Designation an asset
