Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home is seeking Recreation Aides (part-time and casual positions).
Key responsibilities: Assist in planning, organization and implementation of programs for the residents, maintaining departmental records, meal service and program evaluations including participation and charting. Must be empathetic and caring, to align with our person-centered care philosophy, and respect confidentiality.
Qualifications: College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent. Previous experience working with seniors and/ or vulnerable population. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must complete Vulnerable Sector Check (including Criminal Background Check), possess a valid class 5 drivers license and have access to a vehicle. Successful candidates must obtain Food Safety and Serve It Safe certifications.
