Class 3 Driver w/Air Brakes
Wurtz Bros. Ltd looking to hire a driver with a Class 3 drivers license.
Concrete Hauling:
- Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
- Performs thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order and meets MIT regulations; Obtains or schedules required repairs. Maintain truck repair records
- Loads truck with ready mix concrete according to prescribed procedures, including charging hopper and checking slump.
- Discharge concrete, involving removing extension chutes, placing on main chute, driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian traffic and various construction obstacles.
- Maintains delivery records
- Wash residual concrete from truck.
- Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as provincial driving rules and regulations; cleans truck exterior and interior.
Aggregate Hauling:
- Hauling gravel from the quarries to the yard site for concrete production.
- Hauling gravel material from the quarries to the customer job sites.
- Driver must use note road weight limits for all routes when hauling to customers
- Haul a variety of different materials; stone, gravel, clay, sand, etc.
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspection report
- Ensuring the safety and security of cargo
- Inspecting vehicle and reporting any issues to a supervisor
- Receiving and relaying information to dispatcher
- Operating wheel loader to load aggregates into the truck
Equipment Maintenance:
- Performing brake adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Reporting any required or preventative maintenance to a supervisor
- Complying with applicable legislation and safety standards
Safety Division:
- Work in a safe manner and complete Hazard Assessments regularly.
- Complete tool box talks on a regular basis
- Complete inspection check lists as listed on the paperwork schedule.
- Participate in regular safety too box talks and meetings
