Job Summary
The Restaurant & Lounge Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the establishment. This role involves monitoring guest activities, enforcing venue policies, controlling access, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety of customers, employees, and company property.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all areas of the restaurant and lounge to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
- Verify identification and enforce age restrictions in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Control entry and exit points, including guest screening when required.
- Patrol the premises regularly and identify potential safety or security concerns.
- Respond professionally to disturbances, conflicts, and emergency situations.
- De-escalate disputes and assist in removing disruptive individuals when necessary.
- Work closely with management and local authorities when incidents occur.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor occupancy levels to ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations.
- Assist in crowd management during special events, live entertainment, and peak business hours.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by guests and staff.
- Protect company assets and report any suspicious activity immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous security, law enforcement, or related experience is preferred.
- Valid Security Guard License (if required by provincial regulations).
- First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service skills and professional appearance.
- Ability to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Pay: CA$17.50 per hour
