We have bell mts fibe 50. When we switched it was $30/ month for the first 12 months. It's on for $45/ month right now. I haven't checked the speed but we usually have several things using internet at the same time and there's no lag with the shows we watch.

I am just waiting, as every boost in speed in the past has been followed by an increase in cost shortly after.

I guess that’s decent compared to the other provider. Brandon needs more competition. I have some friends in Winnipeg, one has Shaw 50 for $40 for the first 24 months. Another has Teksavvy 60 for $50 a month.

Actually I've been on the upgraded speed since last week getting roughly 160 down. 20 up that's on the speed test server on Westman site, although even noticed at nights sometimes it drops as low as 90mbs down

WCG tells me no cost change associated with the speed upgrade this weekend

No increase right now but give it a few months it'll be coming...

Business costs change over time.  
 
But no matter what the case is, at least you will be getting slightly more service for the cash you are doling out. There are few other areas wherein one can see such a rise in value.  
 
For example, I doubt gasoline bought at 99.9 or 107.9/L is any diffrent.

Isn't it pretty funny that they're increasing the lower price plans and not the higher up ones which most likely would mean they're using more usage well they're getting faster speeds anyways.

The lower speeds are demanding more usage due to online streaming. Everyone is trying to promote cheap cable packages right now to boost business. Cable is a slowly dying industry. Besides sports events like Grey Cup viewer ratings for Grammys and those cheesy award nights and such ratings have dropped huge. I just got tired of paying over 100 bucks for a cable package and the same shows are on 5+ different channels all the time.

That price for the 50 has been in affect for only 4 months and going up again

Yep. I guess this is where I say I told you so? Ah but what's the point as Simon says you are getting a better service for the extra cash we keep doling out. It's like buying gas before a long weekend. Now if someone would just say suck it up nothing we can do we all need the internet lol

I've been saying that for years to people complaining about gas prices. If everyone who could, bought a honda civic and drove as little as possible, everyone would save money. Heck, if the traffic flow slowed down to THE SPEED LIMIT in 90% of the city, everyone would save money.  
 
But instead, SUV's are STILL the most common vehicle on the road, 50 zones mean 61Km/h and any time of year is a good time to idle. Thus, keep complaining about those high gas bills. I'll keep laughing.

How does that compare to gas going up on a long weekend? You still pay more for in gas when they jack up the gas before a long weekend. Civic or pick up it is still the same thing. If everyone drove Civics and gas went up civic owners would still complain about gas going up. Why don't you save even more and buy a EV?
