Palm unveils revamped operating system

I see the Palm has unveiled a new touch-based operating system and phone in an attempt to become relevant again in the mobile phone/smart phone market.

While clearly iPhone-ish, the first pictures with slide out keyboard don't actually look half that bad IMO.
They say it will be available in markets outside the US before the end of the year. Being CDMA, unless I'm missing something else that would mean that it would technically be compatible with the MTS network.
