We live in Kemnay (not sure if you know where that is, but it's just 5 minutes west of Brandon on the 1A). We currently use NetSet. We've lived out here for a year & a half & when I called companies back then to set up our internet, there was only MTS & Westman Communications and neither do not service this area. My husband just called a newer company the other day called RF Now. They are based out of Virden I believe, and their prices were pretty comparable to Net Set except RF Now doesn't have a data cap, which is nice if you watch a lot of You Tube videos or Netflix for example. But the lady said they can't guarantee the speed of the interent, where NetSet does. We struggled with the speed of the internet from Net Set for the 1st year. We called probably every 2 weeks until FINALLY, someone came & tested our signal, and they had to use a different tower or something. Anyway, it's better now, but they were not willing to credit us anything for the YEAR we had slow internet (it might as well have been dial-up!) RF Now said they do not have fibre optic cable out this way yet (although I've seen their trucks digging up the north side of the ditch along the 1A)...they told my husband MAYBE next year but there has to be enough interest (cuz I think it's quite expensive!) Net Set makes you sign a contract (2 or 3 years I think), and if we were to switch now they would charge us an arm & a leg!! Anyway, hope this helps. Your best bet is to call & find out some info for yourself because it might be different in the location you are living. Hope some of that helped!
