I was told windows 10 is better than window 8.1 so anyone regretted going for window 10 that you should have staid on window 8.1

and I would never ever get it again . it is constantly updating and you can not stop it . some times the updates cause problems and the putor runs slow. it burns up lots of internet time with updating . we hate it .

with the above. Hate it as well for the same reasons.

I have quickbooks 2012 and it won't let me make pdf invoices now, which means I can't email them and no fix. Downgraded to 8 again and now it won't work either. Went back to my old computer and now I have a laptop I never use.

Have it on my desktop and laptop, no problems and they boot up faster now.

I have Windows 10 and so far I am very happy with it. It's an all around better operating system then Windows 8.1, and if your used to windows 8.1 you won't have any trouble getting used to it because it looks very similar. As far as it constantly updating I'm not sure where that is coming from because all Windows operating systems update and Windows 10 is no different. I don't find the updates to be any more of a problem then before other then not being able to opt out of them, which you don't want to do anyways.

real good. Been using for over a year now. Best Windows system since XP.

A few bugs at first that made me hate it, but Microsoft did an update that fixed everything that troubled me. Everything working very well now. I love it!

Windows 8.1 is one of the worst OS that MS has released. I think I would rather run XP. I am running Win 10 and Win 7 on a couple machines. I don't mind either. 10 has a small learning curve until you figure out everything but it is far, far superior then 8.1. Make the upgrade and don't look back.

Windows 10 does what it supposed to. It's conventional like we have all used for the past two decades for an OS. There is a bit of a learning curve get to used to where things are placed, rememeber it is an OS that utilizes touch screen, so what may be unconventional for a desktop,is for a touch screen. Most of what you find difficult to find is easily found by right clicking on the windows logo menu icon. To circumvent the unconvienent time of updates can be customized to suit your preferences. Ultimately windows 10 is the backbone moving forward, make the leap and look ahead.

Microsoft is going to have security updates for windows 7 until Jan. 14, 2020 then it ends.  
Their more or less going to force everybody to eventually switch to windows 10 so we may as well get used to it.

When it first was forced upon me, it was a nightmare. When they pushed through the first update, that took at least an hour, they cleaned up a lot of the problems.  
 
Subsequent updates still take far more time than 8 ever did.  
 
To me, now, I can't tell the difference.

is it better to install the upgrade window 10 or better to buy a laptop with window 10 already installed and made for the device

If your current system is new, you can just update if not, I would recommend buy new system with win 10.  
And one more thing, Microsoft might launch another window soon you never know.

After upgrading my laptop to Win 10, I can't create another account on it like Win 8.  
I used to have two separate log on accounts.  
One for me and the second one for guest that want to use my laptop.  
It took away my privacy.

Go to settings - accounts - family/other people.  
Enter a username & password - next.

If you registered before so it is free for you...just do it. U have 30 days to change your mind and go back. I suggest doing a search of what to disable on win 10 for privacy though.
