MTS internet upgrade question

I have a basic internet package. Would like to upgrade to higher speed and perhaps switch to MTS TV.
I was told by the MTS sales person they have to come out and replace my small Actiontec modem to a bigger one.
My question is this. What if I decide to go back to my basic internet speed. Must I replace the MTS modem again or can they continue to use the "bigger" modem? Thanks.

If u are in Brandon no they won't, you are on a technology right now call asdl the mts tv is on VDSL2 your internet speeds right now would be best 7mbs down 512k up they should have switched you anyways to the new platform which you would have got 10mbs down and 2.5mbs up. You keep the same router when u quit tv.
