We recently had someone at the door claiming they were from MTS and offering a really great deal on tv, home phone and internet for 12 months. Their deal amounted to 1/2 of the price WCG charges monthly for the same services. I called MTS this morning and they are only offering the same deal for 6 months. Has anyone had experience with the door to door deal and is it legit? The savings are substantial. Anyone with MTS television, how does it compare to WCG? We have always been happy with WCG, but wouldn't mind taking advantage of saving some $$.

Door to door and telemarketing ha e the 12 month offers, they are legit. Calling in gets you the mass offer (what they offer to anyone and everyone who calls in or goes to the store).

I would call back and tell MTS that you recieved a 12 month offer from door to door and that you would like it. I have had no issues doing that.

As for the deal, it is basic tv (for 1 tv) and lightning 25 for $55 per month for 12 months. Any additional tvs are $3 a piece, more tv channels will bring up the price as well. If you want THPP, that is an extra $15 per month. Gives you unlimited long distance in canada and us 24/7, and 4 calling features.

Interesting...I did call MTS on Friday and they were willing to give the 12 month deal, but I wanted to check it out first. Today when I called back, they were only willing to go with 6 months. Even after informing them of one of their employees offering 12 months on Friday, they wouldn't. Makes me wonder why MTS out of Winnipeg can do a blitz (apparently they were in Brandon for 1 week only) and head office won't. Strange!!!!

I like MTS TV better, it seems to be easier to use and it also gives access to online content like TSN streaming. With Bell buying MTS, that online access is likely to improve.
