anyone had great and positive opinions on the security system netgear arlo pro wireless cameras?
Looking at 5 youtube videos they seem simply easy to install and set up and their function

They work great, good quality video, wide angle view. The only issue is the batteries do not last very long outside and they take a special (expensive) battery

How expensive are the battereis? I thought a video had mentioned rechargeable batteries

I think $22 per battery and they dry up in three months. Maybe new ones have rechargeable batteries but you'd be without the camera while it's charging

Looked at these too because in theory it would be a simple way to setup a camera or two.... but read enough about battery life to back me off. Not sure where you're looking at mounting but in the long run it might be cheaper and cause less hassle to have an electrician quote on putting in an outlet if its say under a soffit that you're considering.

Have a few cameras installed by Summis
Work great and can be accessed thru an I-phone if you hook the DVR to the internet

my purpose to get a security camera is to see who is at the door (front or back) and if any movement in my yard. I do not need for any rooms inside the house.
