Looking for a new provider of internet, TV, and possibly home phone. Were with Westman, and was unhappy with there customer service (though the quality of signal was overall good). Went to MTS, and for while I like the service provided, it continues to cut out. Technician says the only answer is going to all wireless, but the WiFi I am getting from them is poor already, so adding my TV service to this would only make it worse. Other than that the house would have to be fully rewired (though Westman used the same wires with no problems). In a rental situation, so not sure if Satellite is a option. I know most people just get internet, and not TV, and then just download what they want - but I would rather do it legally. I also know about android boxes, but they would not have all the content I want. I think I am SOL, but hoping someone has an idea.

While likely unrelated, make sure your wifi problems are not interference related.  
 
I was getting annoyed with Westman for awhile a few months ago because my internet was behaving erratically. At any hour I would go from normal, to a trickle down AND up, then back to normal. With some rooms becoming wifi dead zones (connection, but no internet access).  
By accident, I learned of Wifi interference. And when I checked, I found that not only was my area cluttered with many more 2.4ghz networks than in previous years (because the telcos are perscribing routers now), but they were stepping all over each other. And this was BEFORE some started broadcasting 4omhz channels on 2.4ghz!  
 
Anyway, I ended up switching my gateway to an unoccupied 5ghz channel and haven''''''''t looked back. For legacy 2.4ghz devices, I set up an old router I had kicking around in AP mode. Solved my problem ever since.
