Home hardware allows dogs.

are allowed most places and in my opinion should be.  
 
I find it sad that some people seem to think they should subject other people to their animal that may be special to them, but no one else. Not everyone likes being around animals, may be allergic to animals or maybe scared of animals. Why should anyone have to be around your animal just because you want to take your animal to the mall.  
 
I personally do not mind animals if they are in their place, like home or dog parks. I do not like to be subjected to your animal because you can not bear to leave the poor sweet thing at home.  
 
Worse is the animal owners who go to websites that encourage people to make bogus claims about their animal to obtain a service animal vest. You are making it more difficult for the folks who truely require the assistance of a properly trained service animal.  
 
The one website I went to, had 6 questions about the dog. If yes to the most of the questions please send $199.00 plus shipping and we send a vest, id card etc  
 
But no where did I see the question " Do you require a service dog to overcome a disability while in public?"

I was in Walmart a few weeks ago and a family (man, woman, small child) were there with 2 chihuahuas (I think) in service vests - didn’t look very official and one had something on it encouraging giving it treats (NOT a thing to do with service dogs). They were leashed, I am a dog-lover so doesn’t bother me much unless I trip over them. The guy looked like he was just waiting for someone to hassle him. I was kind of waiting for them to pee on something just to see what happened.  
 
Owning 3 dogs I am pretty sure it would get chaotic if all dog owners took their dogs to Walmart, in cute “service” vests or not. Take ‘em to the dog park people or leave them at home like most of us do.
