A month ago two dogs came into my yard and killed one of my pet rabbit that was on a short lease. By the time I seen them it was too late to save the rabbit. They came in through the back gate under the truck because I could not close it, the truck was too close so I had polled the gate up to the truck. They slipped in under the truck. Brandon Police Service attended but I decided at the time not to push the issue if the officer talked to the owner of the dogs. Today around 230pm I was working in the yard when I heard shuffling behind me. I turned and the same two dogs where at the rabbit cage. As soon as I saw them they started barking at me so I grabbed a shovel and chased them back out to the street. The rabbit was not in the cage at the time. The police where called. They where going to bring it to the attention of animal control. This time I will push the issue. I still have not heard from them. The owners did not appear to be home. I had three rabbits the mother which was killed and two daughters, one was a pet and the other for give away. The second one, my fave rite died shortly after so now I have only one left.

I’m sorry you lost two rabbits. I hope that the police help and the dogs don’t get in your yard again.

I am sorry for the loss of your pets. It must have been a horrible sight to see the defenceless bunny attacked this way. These dogs have a taste for killing now and no small animal would be safe from them., especially if they are roaming free.  
Please follow through with your complaint. I believe Bylaw officers have six months to lay a charge, so they can i:nclude your original complaint from a month ago in their current investigation.  
Shame on the owners of these dog for letting this happen.

My neighbors dog was constantly wandering off leash and peeing on everything in my yard. Their cat climbed all over my wife's car in the driveway leaving marks up and down it. Taking craps in her garden. Literally the worst neighbors you could have. We called animal control and after a few fines they finally learnt. Make a compliant it will work.
