Cushings Disease in dogs

I was wondering if anyone out there has a dog who has Cushings Disease? My oldest daschund (almost 10) was recently diagnosed with it. I am curious if anyone has had a dog with it for awhile and how it's getting along with medications to keep it under control. I am also asking because I am curious to know how common it is in the ebrandon area.
