Getting dog to stop barking

Anyone have any ideas on how to get our dogs to stop barking. We live at a lake resort and the dogs dont see too many people during the winter. Everytime a car or truck goes down the road the big one barks and gets the little female going now the little male is starting as well. Even when we pull into the driveway and they know it is us. any ideas?
