As I took my dog to the dog park on North hill beside Hanbury Hill, there was a dog with no owner in site. I walked my dog home and went back to see if the owner had came by but the dog was still there abandoned. It has been there for nearly two hours, and I'm just concerned about the dog because of the heat.

Seen this dog on the brandon bala dogs found. Wonder if it has been claimed! Makes me sad to think someone would have just dropped him/her off in the park hoping for someone to take it.

According to the BALA page, the owners have been contacted and will be picking up their dog from the vet clinic.  
There are other possibilities than the dog was just dropped off. Maybe it was lost/ escaped/ running loose and someone put it in the fenced in dog park so it wouldn't get hit by a car. Maybe someone didn't know what else to do. Maybe it was a kid. Maybe the dog went there himself without the owner's knowledge. Let's not assume what happened was malicious!

It may have escaped. I drove by the dog park late that morning before it was mentioned on here and I saw what I think was the same dog....(a black medium size?) it was on the outside of the fence & wasn't locked in. I thought it was weird at the time but assumed there was a person close I just couldn't see.
