I saw on CBC news tonight about 19 abandoned dogs at a dump. They were rescued and will be taken to a shelter inBC because all shelters in MB. Are full. Two girls are trying to raise $5000 to take the dogs to BC. I did not get the address of where to send a donation so if anyone knows would you post it.

Looks like Save a Dog Network Canada is one of the groups who saved them and might be a good place to donate? I will keep digging for more info.

Sad but true. I use to visit First Nation Reserves for my job and I'm sorry to say but I saw starving, suffering or dead dogs/puppies on a daily. Not just at the dump or strays but dying dogs laying right by the steps of the front door. How can a person be so heartless to just walk by every single day and not care. This poor dog was curled up in a ball, skinny and shivering and wouldn't get up but they just walked past him every single day. Believe me, I desperately wanted to take this dog home but I couldn't. I didn't know what I could do about the situation. I ended up quitting the job for this reason. I also saw a lot of healthy happy dogs so don't start attacking me but I'm not surprised.

Dog hunting days on some reserves is so inhumane it makes me sick. Did you see the story on CTV of that beautiful black dog that was shot during a so - called dog cull, but survived and was rescued. The dog is now in foster care and uses a set of wheels for his hind end while he recovers. Amazing foster mom that is looking after him. Is there a solution to this problem of neglected animals on reserves?

First and foremost this like many stories of numerous neglected and abused animals, not just dogs is something that just isn't a first nation issue. There is unfortunately alot of neglected and abused animals in all corners of the province and Country.  
We all have seen people neglect their animals on a number of occasions from leaving them in hot cars, Outside in the sun with no cold water or shade.  
It is also sad to see all the shelters that are overflowing and have no rum for the growing number of homeless, abandoned and neglected animals.  
It would be nice for the government to put money into helping those who want to help the animals.  
Bless these girls who want to help the dogs.
