Hi all, I live in a small town and there's a stray hanging around my house. I thought I found the "owners" my former neighbours but they aren't interested... (They moved across town that's why it started hanging out at my place). I can't keep it. I don't really want to take to the pound in case they put it down. Would the Humane Society, Funds For Furry Friends take her if she's not from Brandon? Or anyone like to adopt her? She's tabby looking female. Very friendly and happy cat. Looks healthy and well groomed. We have been feeding her as we felt bad. Any suggestions? I would love to keep but I unfortunately can't.

It is beyond me how some people can abandon an animal simply because they don't want it anymore. Thankfully the weather has been mild so far and that you have been kind enough to feed the poor thing. I hope you can find someone to adopt her as the shelters and rescues are probably full, although it wouldn't hurt to call them anyway. I wish you the best of luck in your search for a new home for this cat.

Post a picture on Facebook under BALA...Brandon and area lost animals

BALA's goal is to reunite pets with their owners. Unfortunately, it sounds like the 'owners' don't want this poor kitty any more.

There are a few different "Brandon Swap & Shop" pages on Facebook that you can request to join if you're on Facebook and quite often people will post animals on there seeking homes.  
 
Or you could always make a classifieds ad here on eBrandon for the cat.  
 
You could try contacting some of the local shelters but they are usually always full of cats but they may post about it on Facebook if you can provide photos/information on the cat.

Neepawa veterinary clinic takes in strays and rehomes them for free of charge. I would contact them. I think the clinic is called Brydges and Taylor veterinary hospital.  
They have posted in ebrandon before for rehoming animals.
