Surrendering 5 cats

I am just wondering how it works. Unfortunatly its come down to my very very very last option. I need to surrender 5 cats.. I have tried finding homes for them.. i dont want to give them up not at all but due to a very bad break up i cannot take the with me. I do not need or want rude comments on how bad of a person i am for this..like i said ive tryed finding them homes. Please help

I am sorry that you find yourself in this difficult and sad position.

Have you tried contacting Funds For Furry Friends to have them fostered until they are adopted? That would be a good option to try. They are in the phone book.

Call the police station at 729-2345 and advise them you need to surrender the cats. They'll put you through to Animal Control and they'll make the arrangements with you.

The Brandon pound is full. ANY cat that comes in means another cat will have to be euthanized to free up space. If you surrender to the pound your essentially killing 5 other cats (I'm not being rude, it's the truth)... Try and call around and find a rescue who might be able to take them. There is a page on Facebook called Manitoba pet fosters, if you join you'll be able to get in contact with rescue organizations that can help.

Hi

Unfortunately the city pound and bylaw - animal control put cats down here

I have been in your shoes and I had help finding someone who kept my cats for 6 months until I got backing my feet - I visited them often and it kept me going

Thanks to everyone who replyed.. i have someone picking them up this weekend. They will all stay together
