Using the DW App

It's a great app. We've been twice when the app was available and used it extensively. Everything you need is right in the app. Making reservations for restaurants is easier on a computer but very doable on your phone. The only downfall right now is that reservations have been available for months already. If you are travelling this month, times and places will be limited. It doesn't hurt to even try that day as cancellations happen all the time.
Same thing with fastpasses, book what you can and keep looking for better ones if you like. We also purchased the Memory Maker for pictures and it worked fantastic, usually within 15 minutes, the pictures taken by Disney cast members were on our phone.
If you have never been to DW before, you will need AT LEAST one day per park and I guarantee you will not have time to see everything so do your research and pick and choose the stuff you want to do the most.
Allears.net is a great website that has an endless amount of info.
We haven't been to Universal for a couple years but last time we were there, a day in each park was sufficient.
I haven't used the SW or US apps but I would think they would also be very good to use.
The main thing I like to tell anyone going for the first time is to do your homework, it's a marathon not a sprint. Be prepared for long days and A LOT of walking. You will never see everything on one trip, we've been 5 times and still haven't seen it all. Enjoy!!
