do you research, book your restaurants the day you get on the ship that way you wont be disappointed they are all booked trying to do it last min or the day you want to try the various restaurants. feel free to hire drivers at each port to see the island or area you are stopping at and don't be late getting back to the boat.

Went on one cruise. We loved the food and entertainment etc. We had 3 scheduled stops and it was too rough to stop at one so we spent an extra day circling Jamaica. We found it a bit ... unrelaxing...to stop somewhere where you have never been and know you have 8 or 12 hours or whatever to explore.  
They are huge ships but it is hard to not feel a bit crowded with 3000 plus people on them. We also had some motion sickness as well.  
Not wanting to be negative, Just things to consider.
