Camping - May long weekend

I'm wondering where a good place to camp (tent) would be.
We'd like to be able to have a few drinks, nothing crazy or noisey (just a few beer) but I've heard some camp grounds have 0 tolerence for alcohol and you could get a fine.
Any ideas of where a good place would be?
