Tips on air travel

In a couple of weeks our family of five will be flying to Disney World. Do any eBrandon members have any helpful tips on what to pack (and not to pack) in a carryon.
Right now there are alot of new restrictions, it is my understanding you aren't even really allowed a carry on right now other than a purse and laptop bag, but hopefully this will be relaxed a bit in the next couple of weeks because I can't imagine travelling with three kids without so much as a book or small toy to keep them busy!
Thanks for any hints that you can give me.
