Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic
RCB Truck & Trailer is looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer mechanic that has the skills, experience and confidence to work full time on the road taking care of our farm and fleet customers. With our recent partnership with Van L Equipment in Reston, you will have a large customer base to work with and an opportunity to learn more about Ag Equipment if you want an extra challenge. In this role you will be responsible for delivering a great customer experience through top level customer communication, great organization skills and a drive to tailor the repair process to the needs of our customers on site at their location.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and repairs of heavy duty trucks and trailers
- Be a trusted advisor to customers on the health of their equipment when on site
- Work with our shop to find the right parts at an affordable price for our customers.
- Ability to keep an organized schedule and communicate with customers and RCB your plans
- Ensure your RCB supplied mobile service truck is properly maintained
- Ability to triage repairs you find on the road and send equipment to our shop when larger repairs are required
- Accurate time keeping records of work performed
- Great phone skills to deliver top level customer communication
Qualifications:
- The right combination of training and experience to be able to work independently doing on road truck and trailer repairs
- Great communication skills to make sure your customers are always being kept up to date of the repair process
- The ability to problem solve on the road to make sure we can keep our customers going
- Able to provide good communication with our parts department to ensure correct parts are ordered the first time
- The confidence to be in front of customers on their turf and be their trusted advisor for all truck and trailer needs
