Part Time Garden Centre Fork Lift Operator - TERM
Canadian Tire is now hiring a part time Garden Centre Operator for the spring/summer season. Start and end date of the term will vary based on weather and the successful candidate (approximately end of April to end of August)
The Garden Centre Sales Staff work in a fast-paced environment involving constant interaction with customers to deliver friendly and courteous service.
This role is early mornings from 6am ? 10am
Duties include:
Keeping the garden centre neat and tidy
Moving soils to the compound using the fork lift and electric pallet jack
Moving soils by hand onto pallets
Job Requirements:
Must be available for a share of scheduled weekend shifts
Must wear CSA approved or steel toed shoes
Must be able to lift at least 25lbs. This is a basic requirement, however, there are many other products that are heavier and require repetitive lifting
Forklift experience
Desired:
Experience in a garden centre customer service role
Good working knowledge of nursery stock and lawn/garden products
